Dear Miywasin Guests,

As the summer warmth gives way to the crisp beauty of autumn, we want to extend a heartfelt “thank you” to all our guests who helped make this summer unforgettable at Miywasin Ota Resort. From sun-kissed days on Waterhen Lake to serene evenings by the fire pit, we have loved hosting you and sharing the magic of Northern Saskatchewan. But as one season ends, another adventure awaits!

The Beauty of Autumn at Miywasin

The changing of the leaves is a sight to behold here at Miywasin Ota Resort. As the forests surrounding Waterhen Lake turn golden, fiery red, and orange, there’s no better time to explore our breathtaking trails or enjoy a peaceful evening under the stars. Whether you’re an avid hiker, a photographer looking to capture nature’s beauty or just someone who appreciates the season’s serenity, autumn at Miywasin is pure magic.

Winter Adventures Await

As the air grows cooler, our resort transitions into a winter wonderland. Miywasin Ota Resort offers six fully winterized cabins, perfect for those looking to experience the crisp beauty of a Northern Saskatchewan winter. From ice fishing on Waterhen Lake to skidooing through the snow-covered trails, there are endless ways to embrace the season. At the end of each adventure-filled day, our cozy cabins with their own kitchens, bathrooms, and private decks provide the perfect space to unwind and relax.

Honouring September: Every Child Matters

As we settle into our routines this September, with children back to school and parents back to the grind, we take a moment to reflect on the significance of this month. The orange leaves falling from the trees are a vivid reminder of the orange shirts we wear in solidarity with the Every Child Matters movement. With Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation approaching on September 30th, we stand together to honour the lives and stories of Indigenous children and their families.

Let the vibrant orange of the leaves serve as a symbol of remembrance, healing, and hope for a future where every child’s story is heard and honoured.

We look forward to welcoming you back this fall, winter, and beyond!

Warm Regards,
The Miywasin Ota Resort Team
