1. Pack enough cookware

For the best campfire and RV meals, bring all the cookware you’ll need and even some extras. Cookware is not provided at the Resort, so instead of having marshmallows for dinner, make sure you pack more than enough supplies.

2. Befriend your black water tank

Whether you call it a black water tank or waste holding tank, you need to know how it works and how to take care of it. You might want to try dissolvable toilet paper or scented toilet capsules to keep things fresh. Be sure to read the information about your specific tank to know what it needs to last as long as possible.

3. Bring leveling blocks

Safety is key no matter where you’re staying. If your RV doesn’t have it’s own leveling system, leveling blocks are a necessity. Leveling blocks sit under your wheels to make sure no one is falling out of bed at night and nothing tumbles out of your cupboards when you’re least expecting it. On uneven campgrounds, you’ll be grateful you brought them.

4. Arrive on time

Arrive on time for your check-in, or at least before dark! You don’t want to be rushing to settle in and miss the first sunset of your trip. Check-in time at Miywâsin Ôta Resort is 3:00 pm and check-out is 11:00 am. Arriving on time helps you get the most out of your vacation RV camping at Waterhen Lake.

5. Download apps beforehand

Internet isn’t always perfect out in the wilderness. Instead of stressing out about your connection, download any apps you’ll need before you arrive. Saskatchewan has its own SK Hunt & Fish app on both the Apple Store and Google Play store. You can also find information about the Boreal Trail on the AllTrails app and website.
